Campaign’s “BREATH GREEN” preparing works have started!
On January 10 preparing works of the information campaign „BREATH GREEN” that is a part of the project „Let’s Open the World for Opportunities and Skills” (contract no. 2012.EEZ/PP/1/MAC/054/022) that is implemented by the Riga Latvian Society in cooperation with its partners – Creative association for youth TREPES, Strazdumuiţa Boarding school - development centre for the visually impaired and blind children and Latvian society in Norway were started.
Leader of the Creative association for youth „TREPES” Ramona Liepiňa says: “In five years period, while this activity is taking place, we have been searching for new methodology in work with teenagers, youth and some society’s risk groups about themes – immunity, smoking dependence, green breathing and living and tuberculosis. This year everyone will have opportunity to participate in various and creative events during the campaign „BREATH GREEN”.”
Project’s work group together with Latvian Tuberculosis Foundation specialists are working out an interactive game that will be ready until February to create interest in teenagers and youth to participate in their health saving. This time the game floor square will be made with dices that would promote youth creativity and interest. During the game several teams will discuss topical questions.
In February creative work competition will be opened about green thinking, different hazardous habits and possibilities, how to take care of one’s own immunity. In its turn, in ten master classes teenagers will have opportunity to create works together with professional painter. Best works will be exhibited during the campaign, from which the best works will be chosen for the calendar 2015 about healthy lifestyle.
Already in February educational institutions will be invited to participate to play the interactive team game „Breath Green” that will be improved this year and will be organised in different planes – it will be projected and played on the ground square that will hold different interactive surprise moments. Volunteers will visit schools in March, April and May. During the game pupils will have opportunity to check their knowledge, exchange their opinions, find out new information and check their attitude level. The volunteers of the creative association for youth „TREPES” will play the game together with the social groups, but the interactive question – answers game – will play also the teenagers in
March 24 is the World Tuberculosis Day, and on this day creative works exhibition will be opened, interactively cooperating with already existing social risk groups in
On May 16 the campaign will finish with the homage of the most active participants, common big clean and active lifestyle activities.
