The project „Let’s Open the World for Opportunities and Skills” finishes

The concluding event of the project “Let’s Open the World for Opportunities and Skills” will take place on Saturday, November 29, at 11.00 in the Riga Latvian Society Fireplace Hall. The Riga Latvian Society has implemented the project “Let’s Open the World for Opportunities and Skills” (contract No. 2012.EEZ/PP/1/MAC/054/022) together with its partners – creative association for youth „TREPES”, Strazdumuiţa Boarding school - development centre for visually impaired and blind children and Latvian Society in Norway.

The main aim of the project was to promote social castaway risk subjected children integration in the society, reduce social inequality and insure understanding of gender equality and social alignment in the society in general.

Different and wide activities took place during the project: experience change, W. A. Mozart’s comic opera’s „Bastienn and Bastienne” performances, creative work competition „Me and My Motherland”, activities’ cycle for children „Open the World for Opportunities and Skills”, seminars about children and youth rights and opportunities in different life spheres, discussions about gender equality themes, mini-festival „Popular together with a friend!” and campaign „Breath GREEN!”.

In the concluding event project’s participants will share with the results and activities of the project. Project’s managers will express gratitude to the participants and supporters of the project. Everyone will have opportunity to see children and youth creative work competition. At the end – banquet, where project participants and guests will share experiences and plans for new projects!
