Club “Known in the Unknown”

The club “Known in the Unknown” invites to the first meetings in the new season. In October, remembering 170th birthday of the patron Augusts Dombrovskis, we will meet twice in ceremonious atmosphere. Dr. Hist. Harijs Tumans will tell for the interesents about the beginnings of the patronage in Ancient Rome on Thursday, October 15, at 18.00 in the Riga Latvian Society Club Hall. The meeting will host Latvian Radio 1 journalist Sandra Kropa.
In its turn, on October 29, we invite the interesents to the event “Formula of Augusts Dombrovskis”. The meeting will be devoted to the 170th birthday of the outstanding Latvian social worker, manufacturer and patron. In the event the interesents will be able to see the exhibition devoted to Augusts Dombrovskis’ anniversary, to listen to the report “Augusts Dombrovskis. Personality. Accents” by the Board member of the non-alcoholic society “Ziemeďblâzma” Ciemalda Lűkina and see the romantic film “Love Garden” (director Ansis Bçrziňđ. The role of Augusts Dombrovskis plays actor Vilis Daudziňđ. In the role of Marta Rinka - actress Inga Tropa). The film tells about the unusual and romantic friendship of Augusts Dombrovskis and Marta Rinka. The time of action is the beginning of the 20th century, when in 1908 the first Children Festival of Ziemeďblâzma took place and this tradition meets with the beginning of the 21st century, when this beautiful tradition is continuing.
With musical performances in the event will participate Edgars Tomđevics (piano) and the students from Augusts Dombrovskis Music School Anastasija Marusova, Milana Romaňenko (violin), Sofija Trofimova (viola), Madara Rulle, Sofija Piskura (cello).
