Georgian culture evening

On Wednesday, February 18, at 19.00 all the interesents are welcome to Georgian culture evening that will take place in the framework of the integration club “Culture-Charm”. The event will take place in the Voluntary House, Mūkusalas Street 72/ ring button TREPES/ 3d floor.

History of Georgia is connected with different legends and exciting traditions. One of legends tells that in the period, when God divided territories between nations, Georgians had cheerful celebration – they celebrated creation of the world. Different toasts and speeches were devoted to the ceremonious event. When the celebration was over, they, however, went to God, but it was too late. Then Georgians said: “We are sorry, Dear, we are late, we were drinking your health”. The God thought for a moment and said: "I saved one piece of land for myself, but because of your insistence and honesty, I dedicate it to you! But always remember that this land is especially beautiful and that is why people in all times will admire it!”

In the evening we will find out more about Georgia through questions and answers, myths and facts, will taste hachapuri, will learn more about Georgian table etiquette and will enjoy dance ensemble’s “Kaukāzs” skills in Georgian dances, learning also ourselves the dance basis.

Next club’s event will follow on February 25, when all the interesents are welcome to attend Norwegian culture evening.
