Folk applied art’s studio “Rezēda” was founded on September 8, 1980. Since its foundation the studio’s leader is the professional painter, environmental designer, the University’s of Latvia lecturer and Doctor in art pedagogy Inta Valdena.

Since 1992 the home for the studio is the Riga Latvian Society House, where the participants of the studio express their creative thoughts and skills. The studio’s tasks are:

• Research of the traditional festivities’ decorations on the basis of written and oral information
• Preparing of authentic decorations’ models
• Making of thematic interrior’s decorations’ collection
• Modelling of contemporary flower compositions
• Society’s education
• Making of individual orders

The studio presents its works in different kinds of exhibitions (annual, of state importance, international, thematical):
„Dialog With Myself” (2008),”Mosaic in 30 Years’ Time in Paintings and Studio’s “Rezēda” Works” (2010) ,  „I Wish I Had so Long Ears, I Could Hear the Grass Sprouting”... (2011) „The White” ( 2008), „As Rose”, (2010) „House” (2008), „Landrat” in Šiauliai (2009), „Dialog With Me”(2010), „Collages” (2009), „Latvian Traditional Costume” (2011), „ Vintage 60s  - 70s” (2012)
The studio participates regularly in Riga City organized festivals.
