Riga Latvian Society representatives visit Lithuania

From September 21 to September 22, the Riga Latvian Society representatives visited the neighbouring country Lithuania, celebrating the Balts Unity Day. During the weekend not only the Balts Unity Day was celebrated, but also towns 777th birthday.
The Riga Latvian Society and Folklore Commissions representatives participated in the celebrations activities, inviting everyone to find out and dance Lielvārde belts symbolic ornaments. Riga Latvian Society people had meeting with Latvian ambassador in Lithuania Mārtiņš Virsis and Vilnius, Joniškis and Akmene Latvian societies representatives. Valuable was participation in the international forum The Baltic Unity: Perspectives of Communication.
